Moreover, TESS is a leading operator in the welding industry and other products such as cleaning machinery, personal safety equipment, tools etc. TESS has developed a wide range of services locally, and a technical department centrally, built around our core products. Our central manufacturing department at the HQ in Drammen produces special hoses and a number of other products related to hydraulics and subsea.

TESS’ main market is the on- and offshore industry. Our products are distributed through more than 100 service centers throughout the country; all with locally adjusted products, services and inventory. Our headquarters is located in the municipality of Lier outside Drammen, Norway. Our main market is in Norway, but we are also present abroad. TESS International coordinates our global operations, which today includes service centers in Denmark, Scotland, Brazil, Spain, USA and Singapore.

TESS as administrates and coordinates purchases, import and support functions for all TESS service centers in Norway and abroad. This involves the central management and Secretariat, in addition to the departments HR, TESS Academy, IT, marketing & communication, HSE & QA and our economics department. Moreover, TESS is responsible for maintaining special expertise regarding steel hoses, hydraulics, subsea and integrated supply services.

TESS was established in 1968 by the entrepreneurs Erik Jølberg and Olav Nygaard. The company has grown impressively since the start-up; the company has more than 1000 employees and total revenues exceed 3,1 billion NOK.
